How do I sign up for a trip?
Visit our “book now” page or call us at 1-559-286-8963. A deposit of $750 is required to reserve your spot on one of our adventures. Once your trip has met the required number of participants, your travel specialist will inform you that your trip has been confirmed. Please do not purchase airline tickets until your trip has been confirmed, and sign up as early as possible to secure your spot!

When are payments due?
We accept full payment at the time of registration or up to four payments by check or credit card. We must receive your payment in full no later than two months before your scheduled departure.

What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept payment by credit card, Paypal or check.

Do I need a visa or passport?
Every U.S. citizen must have a passport for international travel. VISA requirements vary by destination. If your chosen trip requires a VISA, you will be sent specific instructions for how to obtain a VISA before your trip.

What is your cancellation policy?
Your deposit is non-refundable and the following fees apply for cancellations:

Cancel 120 days or more days before your trip: $750 (your deposit)
Cancel 119 to 60 days before your trip: 50 percent of trip cost
Cancel 60-1 day(s) before your trip: 100 percent trip cost

Do you recommend travel insurance?
We require that you purchase travel insurance before your trip. This can protect you from last-minute cancellation, trip interruption, and medical treatment or emergency medical evacuation during your trip.

What if my trip doesn’t have enough participants?
We require a minimum number of 8 participants for each trip. Once the minimum number is confirmed, we will send you  an email so you can book your flights. If the trip is cancelled, you may choose to receive a full refund, select a different trip, or pay a fee to run the trip with fewer participants (minimum required is four).

Is airfare included in the price of my trip?
Airfare is not included in the price of your trip. Visit your desired destination page for more information on prices.

Who goes on Dance Adventures?
We welcome adults of all ages and experience levels! We require that you be at least 18 years old, have enthusiasm for your expedition, and be open to learning. We can accommodate different levels of dancers on all of our trips.

Are the trips physically strenuous?
Some trips are more physically demanding than others, but the dance classes can also be modified to accommodate people of various levels. When choosing your adventure, it’s best to consider both the dance and the climate. For instance, our adventure in Guinea, West Africa includes African dance (known to build both cardiovascular endurance and strength) in a hot climate. While we make sure to avoid classes in the heat of the day and take other precautions, participants with a good base level of strength and cardiovascular fitness will find it easiest to adjust. If you have concerns about any of the trips, please contact us.

Who are the teachers?
Our instructors have years of experience in their chosen dance and take pride and joy in  sharing their knowledge with others. They are respected as both artists and teachers. You will learn more about your teachers in your welcome packet.

What is your maximum group size?
Our maximum group size is 20.

Can I travel alone?
We welcome solo travelers. Keep in mind that you may need to pay a single supplement or choose to share a room with someone of the same gender. On some trips, such as in Guinea, you will share a room with new friends (we lodge four people per room).

Are children allowed on your trips?
We do not allow children on Dance Adventures. Custom trips for students can be booked separately.

What are your age restrictions?
All participants must be 18 years or older.

Who are your guides?
Our guides come from all walks of life, but they have a few things in common: a passion for dance, belief in the power of travel to transform lives and building community, a desire to create an amazing experience for all participants, and in-country experience.

What should I bring?
It depends on the trip you’ve chosen! Once you register for an adventure, we send your packing list in a welcome packet.

Can I give a trip as a gift?
Absolutely! Keep in mind that our cancellation policy still applies to trips purchased as gifts.

Can I add an extra night on the beginning or end of my group trip?
We ask that participants make these plans independently and alert Dance Adventures and their group leaders of their plans.
